PNB was awarded a grant form the Northern Beaches Council for 18 months for Greening Your Home. We launched this initiative in September 2017 and it will run till the end of 2018. Over the course of 18 months we have undertaken - repair cafes and DIY furniture repairs, home Eco Product making workshops, zero waste workshop, seaside foraging, and cob oven building. We held meetings on sustainable house design, wise use of water, living a low tox life, wild foods, Aboriginal foods, sustainable energy, and building with bamboo. We have also supported the annual sustainable house day in September.
In October 2018, we held a 400 person sold out meeting at the Dee Why RSL with permaculture founder David Holmgren speaking on his new book Retrofitting the Suburbs and with Costa Georgidias of Gardening Australia + local sustainable architect Joanne Gilles. Elle Sheather spoke on behalf of PNB green home project and Uncle Neil Evers opened the meeting with welcome to country. Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan also lended his support and spoke on the night. We also lauched a great new 4 page fact sheets on Greening Your Home.

GREENING YOUR HOME
