This month's meeting has fallen on Sorry Day, the day the Australian Federal Government apologised to the stolen generations when Aboriginal children were forcibly removed from their families and communities. Uncle Neil Evers, coordinator of the Manly Warringah Pittwater Aboriginal Support group can trace his family back to the Broken Bay area.  He speaks on issues elating to Aboriginal people past and present relating to Sorry Day, and issues relating to Aboriginal history on the Northern Beaches.

We are also celebrating that Australians, new and sustainable industries growing indigenous foods and medicines are taking root around the country and around the world.  For the Share and Swap table at this month's meeting we ask that members and visitors focus on the bush plants that they are growing in their own gardens to bring along and share.  Or bring a plate of food for supper that uses your own native plants in cooking.

Please note Jess Sinnott of Koori Kinnections was ill on the night and will be at one of our future PNB public meetings.

Thursday May 26. Banksia Room, Nelson Heather Centre, 5 Jacksons Road Warriewood, 7:15pm, All welcome!
