Learn how to set up your compost and/or your worm farm to be an integral part of your waste management and your garden. Learn tricks and tips for trouble shooting to make the best compost and worm juice fertiliser that you can.
Northern Beaches and a number of other Councils give away free or discounted compost bins and worm farms to residents. You can go on the waiting list for this now. This workshop will assist you in setting them up and trouble shooting.
Additionally food waste going into landfill breaks down producing methane and carbon dioxide, both potent greenhouse gases. Fertilise your garden, reduce waste and your ecological footprint at the same time.
The two hour workshop is run by Angie Penn, Manly West School Kitchen Garden coordinator and science teacher. For bookings contact: angie.penn@unswalumni.com $10 for PNB members and $15 for non-members.
