Michele Margolis and Jane Mowbray of Inner West Seed Savers will speak on the importance and their experiences of seed saving and why it is important to do it near where we live. They will demonstrate simple techniques for saving wet and dry seeds, and explain why locally adapted, non-hybrid seeds are important for food security.
They will let you know what plants have had great success and what are easy and quick to grow as well as ideas on how to plant your seeds and keep them healthy. Locally saved, organic seeds will be available on the night ($1 per packet) as well as books!
