Join us for a presentation and Q&A with Piret May, a Horticulturalist at The Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney, who will speak about a variety of natural pest management methods employed within the Gardens.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney is Australia's oldest living scientific institution. Encompassing 30 hectares, it is home to a collection of over 27 000 plants from around the world.
Piret will discuss the role of beneficial insects, inoculants and host plants, successes and failures as well as methods on how to identify beneficial insects in your garden. Given the variety of gardening disciplines within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Piret will use experiences from fellow Horticulturalists to explore the role of beneficial insects and the importance of diversity in any form of garden.
